We’re proud to reveal the synopsis of our new series for 2017 – Killtopia. The sci-fi series will feature concepts and scripts by Dave Cook and art by Bust cover artist Craig Paton.

The series was inspired by old school anime movies Akira and Ghost in the Shell, as well as the videogames of Platinum Games and Suda51, Killtopia takes readers into the neon scorched world of a Japanese metropolis, many years from now.

Years before our story begins, a scientific cataclysm ravages Sector K, a district in Japan’s largest metropolis – known in the present as ‘Killtopia.’

The incident spewed forth trillions of microscopic nanobots into the atmosphere. Humans have begun ingesting them, only to have their insides painfully terraformed until they collapse internally and die.

This sickness is known as ‘the rot’ and the sister of our protagonist Shinji, is dying from it. With no money to pay for her medication, he ventures to Killtopia in search of a solution.

Against this backdrop, we’re proud to reveal the official synopsis for Killtopia #1 – enjoy!
