On the whole MCM closing down shows thing…

So the news just broke that MCM is calling time on its shows in Telford, Northern Ireland and Liverpool, following the group’s takeover by events company Reed POP. Reed POP is the group behind big events like PAX, Twitch Con, New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration – all massive, prolific events with huge worldwide recognition. So while comic creators and vendors like yours truly are waiting to see how Reed’s takeover will benefit the MCM roster of events, I don’t think the first thing we expected to see was a round of event closures. That goes double...

Killltopia: soundtrack mixtapes released on Spotify

Hi guys, Dave here with a fresh Killtopia update, and something a little bit different this time. Way back last year, artist Craig and I were busy doing early work on both the Killtopia plot and art, and having the occasional Skype call to discuss ideas. Dave talks about the future of Vessels and storytelling with AP2HYC

If, like me, you watched the series Lost right up to the very end (and I’m in the minority that enjoyed the ending), you’ll know how juggling multiple open plot threads can cause a great premise to fall apart at the seams. This is the focus of my latest interview with the wonderful comic site A Place to Hang Your Cape, which you can read here: I largely chat with them about keeping a coherent narrative in the context of our second series, the dark fantasy saga Vessels. This is the first comic I wrote that had multiple plots...
