Vessels #1 Review Round Up (So Far)

Vessels #1 hasn’t been out a week yet and we’ve already received a string of positive reviews across the board – which kind of blows our minds a little. It’s amazing to see critics enjoying our work as much as we enjoyed to make it. Here’s a deeper breakdown of the reviews we’ve received so far, and if you like what you see, you can buy a copy from our store here. Feather #1 launching August via Comichaus

A while back I teamed up with Dundee-based artist and all round good-egg Norrie Millar (creator of the SICBA-nominated comic Snowbound – seriously, read it!). We started working on a short comic series for Comichaus – the new UK indie anthology – called Feather. It’s quite different from the other Card Shark series Bust and Vessels. Bust #3 Kickstarter coming August 1st

We’ll also post them on the site too. Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/events/543632232510817 As a special bonus this time around, we have Marvel and DC’s John McCrea of Hulk and Superman...

Vessels #1: The First Review!

It’s always a tense feeling to release a new comic and to have it at out there in the wild – you never know if it will tank or be enjoyed. Thankfully, the early response from our Kickstarter backers to their advanced PDFs has been overwhelmingly positive, as is our first review – which comes from ComicsAnonymous. It’s a 9/10 score, which blows my mind to tiny pieces like Murphy in Robocop (ew!) You can read the full review here. In the review, critic Gary says: The combination of Rafael Desquitado on art, Dennis Lehmann on colours & Garrett...

We’ve got some big news on the convention front – namely, we’ll be at this year’s MCM Scotland ComicCon, selling copies of Bust #1 & #2, Comichaus #1 and Vessels #1 alongside our good friend Dave Lumsden (Boat #1 & #2) We had a total blast last year and had our biggest sales for a show to date, and we got to meet a lot of new creators and readers too. It all goes down on September 24/25 at the SECC in Glasgow. We look forward to seeing you guys there 😀...
