Speaking of which, page 14 is now live on there: http://bustcomic.com/read-issue-1-here/ I’m on holiday in London this weekend but once I’m back in Edinburgh I’ll record another video going in to more detail on what comes next. So… are Bust’s creatures zombies?

A friend of mine once told me they thought the Bust concept was outmoded because it was ‘just another zombie story.’ This post is to clarify that the monsters Jack fights in issue one are not zombies. I can see how they might look that way – I wouldn’t blame a single person for thinking that, but they’re actually the result of a plague that hits America, turning the majority of the population into decaying, rabid beasts that move fast, never back down and can tear through people like butter. No spoilers, but there is a scene in issue #2 of Bust where one naive character asks “So, are these things zombies or what?” and the other person tells them not to be stupid. They explain that if you get bitten by one of these creatures, you will die. No resurrection, you don’t become a walking dead – you just die. We’re over £1,500!

Happy Friday backers! This is a quick update to say we have passed £1,500 and are on our way to hitting our second stretch goal of a second print run at £1,600. Thanks to our latest backers Alastair Scarlett and Tariq Ashkanani for their contribution! Also, I was chatting with Chris this morning about the frequency of new pages. We realise we’ve been a bit slow lately, but this is purely because we’ve been chipping away at the custom sketches for our £20 and £50 backers. We’re now going to do just a few of these a month so we can focus on pages, and get them out faster ahead of our April print run. Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks again for your support, it seriously means a lot to us!...
